Uses and Benefits of Bananas

Bananas are one of the most nourishing fruits available because they contain large quantities of magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, iodine, and vitamin A, B (folic acid), E, and F.
Bananas have so much more benefits than just a delicious and nutritious treat. In fact, so many of the benefits of bananas are great for other things besides eating have to do with their nutrients. The following are some of the benefits of bananas;
  1. Whiten Teeth. Dying for some pearly whites? Rub banana peel on your teeth for about two minutes every time you brush and you will be well on your way to that perfect smile.
  2. Treat insects’ bites. Rub some banana peels on the bites to alleviate the itch.
  3. Exfoliate your skin. Bananas exfoliate and give new life to a dull complexion. They also moisturize, and are great for all types of skin.
  4. Banana Fertilize your plants. Dried ground banana peels make fantastic mulch for seedlings and new plants.
  5. Get rid of splinters. Cannot get that pesky splinter out of your skin?   I feel your pain. Luckily, if you press banana peels onto the splinter, the fruits natural enzymes will work to get that sucker out.
  6. Prevents Wrinkles. They are teamed with heavy cream and organic honey in a recipe crammed full of nutrients. Some women use Banana facial masks 3 times a week for fighting wrinkles.
  7. Makes Ice Cream. Craving the sweet stuff but don’t have the time, calories, or budget to spare? Simply blend a frozen solid banana in a food processor or blender. You will be surprised how much it tastes like soft-serve ice cream.
  8. Treat Warts. Another benefit of Bananas is that they are rich in potassium, which is said to help treat warts. Banana is good for you as it’s a natural way to treat warts.
  9. Treat Bruises, Cuts, and Scrapes. Banana is good for treatment of bruises, cuts, and scrapes because it contain Potassium helps with in the healing.
  10. Banana attracts Birds and Butterflies. Like human, birds and butterflies just love the taste of bananas. Since banana is good for attraction if you would like to watch birds, leaves a banana out and many will be attracted.
  11. Polish leather and silver. No need to invest n pricey, and often toxic, leather and silver cleaners instead, rub banana peels on the surface and buff with a cloth.
  12. Bananas combat Aphids. Nobody likes a damage plant. Bury some cut up banana peels 2-3 inches deep around the base of the plant, after sometime all aphids will die since banana is good for combating all types of aphids.
  13. Treat Dog. Bananas are perfectly safe, and perfectly healthy, treat for your beloved pooch.
  14. Purify water. This is perhaps the best left to the professionals, but research has suggested that banana peels can actually absorb toxins in polluted rivers. But, if you ever find yourself lost in the woods with only a banana peel, you’ll be prepared.
  15. Immune Boost. According to Japanese Scientific Research, full ripe banana with a dark patches on yellow skin produces a substance called TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor) which has the ability to combat abnormal cells. The darker parches it has the higher will be its immunity enhancing quality; hence, the riper the banana the better the anti-cancer quality. A yellow skin banana with a dark sport on it is 8x more efficient in enhancing the property of white blood cells than green skin version. It is therefore recommendable to eat 1-2 bananas every day so that you can increase immunity.
